The wingli releases the rat's tail, taking his eyes away from the feigned look of innocence the boy, Brier gave him. Gesturing carelessly at the rodent, the wingli steps away, lifting his voice for its 'partner' to hear.

"Keep your rodent out of the food or he'll become part of it," he grunts, turning away. Shooting a glance at the king, he retreats towards his former position, leaning against 'his' roomside pillar....
