*Chirp Chirp Chirp!* I woke up to the sound of the blue jays chirping praise for the morning light. I made my bed, brushed my teeth, cheanged into my black rubber boots, tan britches, cotton blue shirt, and white helmet. I guzzled a quick cup of coffee, grabbed my gloves from the radiator and my crop from the coat rack. I jogged down to the barn and greet a drowsy Shadow from outside her stall. I let her munch on a few more sprigs of hay then slipped on her yellow halter and attatched her rainbow cotton lead. I gave her a thorough grooming and got out my pony harness and pleasure cart. We trotted into the indoor arena. The one thing I loved about Shadow was her knee action that always seemed to impress the judges. *CLip CLop!* I was startled from my thoughts as Shadow broke into a canter. I woahed her to a trot, and completed a figure 8. We cantered for a bit, doing a spiral. Then we walked the arena a few times to cool her off. I untacked her and hosed her off. I sprinkled a few flakes of grain in the pasture and let her loose to enjoy a quiet morning. It was a good day.

I hitched Spirit up to my cart and took him for a little drive through a course and then through the trails. He loves driving, he lifts his legs high and tucks his head awesomely! he just loves to show off and strut his stuff! He's completely full of himself, but that's alright, i would be too if I had his gorgeous looks! His such a fiery little stallion, it was love at first sight when I saw him!

Cloe's snowy white coat looked absolutely stunning against the black leather strapping of the cart. I hopped onto the cushy seat, whip and reins in hand, and urged her on down the willow tree lined driveway. Next we turned right, on down the dusty lane that paralleled the paved road. She jogged quietly down the lane creating little puffs of dust as she went. Every once in a while a car would slow down and wave to us, admiring her unusual coloring. My french pig tails were hidden beneath my black cowgirl hat but Cloe's mane was fluttering in the wind, her tail held high, almost like an Arabian. We alternated from a walk to a jog for about 4 miles down the lane until we encountered the tiny outdoor shopping mall, consisting of the town's only tack and feed store. I parked outside the tack store, and quickly ran in to pick up some much-needed bottles of fly spray. Then I quickly hopped back into the cart, tossing my purchases on the seat next to me, and headed back down the lane to the ranch. By the time we got back to the ranch it was time to feed the horses, and just like with Dazzle the day before, I gave Cloe an extra ration of sweet feed for her excellent behavior.

I hitched up Clyde and Magic to take them for a drive. What a sight! They didn't exactly match! A high stepping Friesian who looked like royalty partnered up with a slow foot draggin QH/Clyde! But after a while they learned to match their steps with eachother. When they felt comfortable with eachother I took them around the course and they seemed to enjoy eachothers company

It was a cold, dry day. I bundled Kit, Dream and me as best I could. I put on their insulated boots too. I hitched them to the cart and away we went. I wasn't worried about putting Kit next to Dream because they were half brother and sister, new each other for awhile, and are pretty shy towards each other. We went around the cones, over the bridge and over the dirt path up on the only hill in the meadow. It was great. The horses seemed a bit unpleasant with the cold, so I took them in and gave them some hot bran mash.

I quikly hitched up Dalton & Belle, and drove them into the driving ring where i had already set up a small course to test there abilities. Now, usually I wouldn't hitch up a stallion right next a mare, but Dalton wasn't like the average stallion, and payed absolutely no attention to Belle. I headed them to a row of massive orange cones, which they weaved with perfect rhythym, and completed without knocking a single one over. Next, I headed them towards the tiny bridge. Dalton went right on ahead while Belle came to a complete stop! Surprised, Dalton reared up and nipped Belle for her silliness. Belle, without any que by me continued trotting quietly over the bridge, eyeing Dalton wearily all the way. I decided that that was enough for there first try, and steared them out of the ring towards the barn for a good grooming and a handful of carrots.

I hitched Diva to her tiny little cart and put Shasta on the seat to go along for the ride. I did not sit in the cart cuz I didn't want it to be too heavy for her first time. She lifted her legs with pride and dignity. Diva was was oh too eager to hop in the water and swim with the buggy floatin along close behind! When we were done, I turned her out with Clyde and Magic.

I hitched the magnificant lippizan up to the carrige. I thought it would be to heavy for him, but he flew off like a rocket through the water, around the cones, over the bridges. I decided to take him back in and then pasture him out. He deserved it!

I hitched up Secret to his carrige. Even though he is so young, he loves to go for an occasional drive. His training was going well and he already knew all the gaits and the signals to turn. I walked him to start. We then worked up to a trot, then a canter. I circled him tightly around the orange cones. The gelding didn't knock any of them down.
He was very strong for a horse is age and size.I decided enough was enough, so I unhitched him and hosed him down.

Ravelle was the only horse I owned that knew how to and, most importantly, enjoyed driving. Bold Moon knew how to, but it was just about her LEAST favorite thing to do, and when hitched up, let EVERYONE know it. Besides dressage, Ravelle really shined when he was driving, especially competitively...... Then suddenly Ravelle broke out into a trot and woke me up from my thoughts. I gently reined him in and spoke softly to him as we continued down the dirt road, along the many pastures filled with horses from the neighboring ranches.

After hitching up Ravelle to the tiny cart, she hoppped on and steered him towards the entrance of the arena. Once they had entered, she worked on tight cricles, and teaching Ravelle to bend around each corner. She then directed him towards a tiny bridge which at first sight the young gelding spooked and refused to go near it. After gentle coaxing he trotted easily over the tiny bridge, his massive hooves thudding against the wooden planks.
