His mother, uncle and some of her friends are all Spiral Dancers, they belive Roy to have been killed though his Uncle is starting to believe differently. Roy's and his families real orgin is White Howler, before they were corrupted when his mother was a little girl. His sister and father are normal humans.

Roy Lastanza was born 1980 October 12, in San Jose, California, to Jonathan and Iszabell Lastanza. A year after their second child, Eleanora Lastanza, was born the family packed up and moved to Union City, California in 1982. Belonging to a mother who became a well trusted city councilmen, to eventually figure head of the city council, who had been asked twice to run in the city elections as mayor, and a father who was popular amongst those of the Catholic church as a priest who was an upstanding member of the community always willing to help, plus having owned a successful shelter that turned around many out of work or troubled men and women. Roy and his sister soon found that great things were expected of the Lastanza family, their children were no exceptions.

Roy became an honor role student through out his years in school as did his younger sister, both went into various sports and clubs, Eleanora even became class president, student council and various other small political standings. Roy on the other hand became well known for his musical talents and interest that became a focal point to his father’s likings until it went from Classical music to more aggressive rock and metal. His mother often came to his defense as she always had during his childhood when he and his father would like horns over a decision. Roy and his mother had always had a deeper connection then he and his father, Eleanora often became jealous of the connection she had hoped to have with her mother but always found almost as if she was walking into a barrier each time.

His mother again came to his defense when Roy and some friends got into a group scuffle with a group of teens from Hayward High over some harsh words at a bart station. This lead to him being held in police custody until his parents arrived that evening, his father who was outraged threatened to punish the 15yr old Roy with everything from taking away his privileges to locking up the guitar he cherished since his 13th birthday.
Again in her soothing words she spoke heated with Roy’s father for some length of time until they came to an agreement, he needed another more physical activity to unpin whatever aggression had started the fight. Thus football was suggested by Roy’s mother though his father had a few concerns about possible injuries.

This was the start of “Blitz”, when Roy was known for his speed and agility that surprised many who watched the tryouts that day including both assistant and head coach. Though much younger then some of the other players, Roy was accepted into the varsity league were he met Shawn Taylor, the star quarterback and later one of his best friends. As time went on Roy continued to impress the on coming crowds and the recruiters who began showing up to watch the games over the short years of his high school reputation as a team with the “Cannon.”Taylor.

One afternoon on his way to practice he met a young lady who was coming from the band room carrying a single violin. Having not seen her as she stepped around the corner, Roy literally knocked her onto her rear and caused her to drop her school bag plus violin. Finding it more funny thing anything else, Roy right away noticed her fiery red hair and dark green eyes. She had been a prodigy since elementary, she recalled Roy who had teased her numerous times when they were children. Soon against her fathers wishes the two began to go out more and more.

Sherry Lambeth Reynolds, the young lady who eventually convinced Roy to follow his dreams of music instead of Football. Later Roy and a group of friends who had the same dream as he started a small group they dubbed “The Mourning.” The group took a lot of his time and sometimes he even threw out practice or a game in football to play or practice with the band. This put him and Shawn at odds for awhile until he heard the band play, his father was not so easily won over.

When his mother learned of such she encouraged him proudly as always though she was not to particular about Sherry, she again intervened on his behalf with his father. Roy’s sister became ecstatic that he had started a band and often listened at their practice sessions.

Finally graduation was around the corner, Roy, Shawn and various others of the that years Varsity Football team found themselves with various offers from many prestigious colleges. Roy asked for time to think it over and did something he had wanted to do for two years, he spent time with his Girlfriend Sherry, his friends and poured his heart into his new found dream that was his band. A graduation his mother surprised him as she often did but this time with a gift, she had brought him a brand new Motorcycle as a gift and memento to keep aiming for the stars.

By the end of summer it was clear to Roy’s father that his sun was going to throw away his chance at success and happiness for his “silly band”, though he had been featured on a few local stations and even interviewed in a local magazine and paper for his skills as a guitarist. Roy and his group toured the bay area of California for months before a chance came they couldn’t pass, the band had become so well known throughout the state for their talents, they were asked to open in San Francisco in a concert by some bigger names.

Roy was on top of the world when he heard of such and went to his mother who brightened his life even more by supporting his choice, their connection had remained strong the entire time like a cord of an unseen force that could not be served since birth. Sadly his father was not that happy and could not be quelled that time, they argued long into the night before Roy stormed out of the house as his mother followed him at his hells. It frightened him to see her that way, the women he had known his entire childhood as a stone foundation, always so calm, gentle, graceful and shrewd, crying as she begged him to change his mind.

To angry to think that night and having to be in a place for a gig three cities away he could only hug her before promising he would think over leaving the house, little did he know those harsh words with his father and that last hug from his mother would be the last memories he would have of either. As he pulled out of the driveway on his bike he looked over his shoulder though the visor of his helmet, his sister called behind him. “Knock em dead Roy!” as she waved.

That is when life became complicated...
