Yes, many of us have gone through the re-learning process.
Game is as fun as it was when we were youngsters ... and
the re-learning process seems to be enjoyable, as well. :-)

Sounds good. Those "good times" are the main idea,

Your feelings are correct.

Firing from 2E5 to 2G4 has no wall modifier. Firing from
2G4 to 2E5 gets the wall modifier.

The wall +2 DRM (+1 for hedges) is only applied if the wall
is part of the TARGET's hex. The problem for all of us
starts when this rule is introduced in SL Scenario #1
(Guards Counterattack) but not used until Scenario #4.

Importnat rules reference is 11.53 and important clause
is "hex formed by that hexside" ... awkwardly written but
relatively clear when studied.
