Subject: Striper Fishin' at Wilson

I took a couple of my friends up to Wilson on Wednesday, March 17th. The water temperature was a cool 48 degrees. One of the guys that went with me has never been striper fishing and caught a 6 pound fish. We caught it back in Hell's Creek. We were just drifting with shad. We tried up past Minooka in the river but did not do any good. We marked plenty of fish up there but they just wouldn't bite. The water was still as glass and I did not have a prop for my trolling motor. I lost it while trying to catch shad. I think we would have done real good if we could have pulled the boat around. Catch you on the flip side.

Keep smilin,
