Subject: FIRED UP FOR 2004 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just returning from Lake Whitney Texas from my first tournament of the year I for one an excited about our 2004 season. With the changes we have made in the KSA tournaments and our partnership with NSBA I feel this will be one of our best years ever. A lifetime fishing license for the youth angler of the year, now that's a real prize to keep those young'uns fishing forever, our $1000 guaranteed tournament in June of which we have already raised most of the money with our sponsorship drive, thanks to all who helped raise this and donated to it. As it looks right now we may have over $1000, so the question is do we offer a larger 1st place payout or pay more down to the 2nd and under prizes? I know there are a few that are not real happy with some of our changes and for that I apologize but I think we will see from the fruits of this year that those changes were very important to club growth!!! While NSBA is growing in leaps and bounds east of the Mississippi it is our job here in Region III to show them just how many of us want the same growth in this Region. Our lake Milford tournament last year was a prime example of what I am talking about, our best turnout of the year and the majority of the entries were new faces. With the interest in Striper and Wiper fishing growing in the state of Kansas it is our job to help some of these newcomers along, HEY we all had to learn from someone, you don't have to give away all your secrets but we all have a trick or two that could help a fellow fisherman out! In the near future we will have printable flyers for our tournaments, all you have to do is print a few off and post them in your area, it only takes a minute or 2 and you can do it at your favorite bait shop, grocery store, gas station, any where people will see it. This is the best and cheapest advertising we can do and everyone needs to get involved. So lets all work together to make 2004 the best ever, Jack Hoskinson, KSA Pres.
