There are bad guys and then there is Ira Gaines. He pays a lesbian to blow up a plane simply to get a press pass. He has eyes and ears everywhere, can afford an absolute hacienda full of top-notch gadgetry... but he underestimates Jack Bauer. That means it's curtains, and although he manages to stay alive longer than just about every other bad guy in the show he's still destined to kop it. However, even this he manages with connsumate dignity. Serbian baddies take note.
