ACT TWO
SCENE 16

AN UNDERGROUND ADOLESCENCE (1983)

their smiles conceal love
and their tears hide the dying pain.
children are symbolic of acid rain
and drain
into playgrounds made of reverse pain.

acid rain drop kids packed into public dominions
where institutions attempt
to turn them into acid fools
with tools
that can only be used
to recreate smoke screens
of greed and lust.

green is limited in the playgrounds
so in dirt they trust.
in the underground exist underground toilets
where children get flushed.

however, Love was
born from the infamous
with a spiritual contraceptive
much different from the rest
he put his surroundings to the test.
creative concepts -
he used to dream of bass and drums
and rhythms
and blues
and words
floating in the noon
as the sun is directly above
the underground
to melt the pain away�
to invite sound�
