In reply to: Sarah 's message, "Jamie Rose Rothenberg" on 10:32:57 07/25/02 Thu

My name is Jamie Rose Rothenberg. I recently graduated from The Overlake School, a private college-preparatory high school in Redmond, WA. I am taking a year off of formal schooling before I attend Hampshire college in the fall of 2003. Currently, I am seeking a paid internship or a job for this summer and next year. I would like be part of an organization involved in theatre, the arts, literature, social services, and/or teaching.
Although I am young, I do have some theatre, writing and work experience which might serve to increase my applicability. The highlights of my experiences are as follows: Last summer I volunteered at Village Theatre in Issaquah. I just completed a three week project at Graham Hill Elementary School in South Seattle where I tutored high needs children and taught art and creative writing. I played Elizabeth in "Pride and Prejudice" last fall and I played the ten roles allotted to the 1st actress in Arthur Gurney's "The Dining Room." I have stage managed and assistant directed two advanced drama productions at my school. I completed a highly selective summer acting program for Juniors at the Ashland Shakespeare Festival. I am the Editor of My High School literary Magazine and have taken over ten courses in creative writing and classical/contemporary literature. I've taught Yoga for kids and have served as a nanny to many children. I have attached my complete resume in case you think that I would be qualified for any sort of position.
Mostly I desire to steep myself in a community whose passions coincide with my own. Thus, if you do not presently have opportunities to offer, I would appreciate your advice as to where I might find similar organizations and/or communities. Thanks for your consideration.

Sincerely,
Jamie Rose Rothenberg
