If one looks at the smoking boards for the last week, they would probably say On, my gosh. Those that have posts at all seem to have controversy. Mastubation reared its ugly head shortly after the Smoking Ladies Board opened. To see the posts and names that followed, you would have to think it is okay to practice and okay to brag about. It's certainly not okay to be criticial of that kind of comment. Then came the old issue of encouraging an adult to smoke. The continued encouragement of encouraging very young kids to smoke continues on some boards. Objecting to that is a no-no. Anyway, two of the arguable topics, mastubation support and anti helping adults start smoking, seemed to be vehicles to again take shots at the Christian religion, a group called the rightous right. I personally thought my biggest point of the week was the readership totals that appeared briefly on the Smoking Ladies Board. Despite all the rejections of proof, Past Tempted's readership scores high among women posters. I accept that as a vote of confidence along with the favorable decision under a court situation.
As far as readership, Men generally have a lesser percentage of followers. While frequent female posters are among the most read, frequent and long winded male posters are not.
This Smoke and Mirrors board is being helped by the contributions of Carrie Nations who is developing a following. Will she or won't she fall back into regular smoking. Since she posted on Friday and had a busy weekend, the question may be did she or didn't she? So to Carrie and Lynn who posted that controversial entry on Late Bloomers about a 31-year-old women (a devout Southern Baptist) venturing into smoking, you get a gold star.
Meanwhile Closet Smoking, Parents with Kids That Smoke, and Trudy's I smoke and Love It are remaining fresh and lively. The obviously organized revival efforts seem pointed toward Smoking Ladies and Late Bloomers which are met with posts and, of all things, controversy. Other boards in that grouping suffer from inattention and have become places where the scummy parasites are hanging on.
