First, let me thank everyone for providing a forum for my lovely wife. Cindy, Past Tempted, is a joy and enjoys this board.
I sort of specialize in sightings and one I saw Monday made me decide to return to posting. Later today, I will have a few stories from my boyhood.
Anyway, we were in this restaurant that has a bar along with the restaurant. With Cindy at my side, we sat where we had a view of the smoking area and smoking bar. At the table across the aisle was this couple with a 30ish blonde. Straight ahead was another couple, a 25ish man and woman.
Well, the 30ish blonde had a pack of Eves by her side. She seemed a cinch to smoke. She did and would take a puff and set the cig in the ashtray.
Nothing happened at first dead ahead. Then the guy went out to the car and got a pack of Marlboro Lights. He smoked one before the meal arrived but she did not. She did drink some wine, leaving a little hope.
As the couple to the side finished their meal, both lit up. Then the other couple finished. We were just getting into our meal at the time and Cindy had one Marlboro 100 while waiting.
Then the guy dead ahead gave his woman a cigarette and lit it for her. She ordered another glass of wine. Such would floor Cindy. Next, the lady grabbed the pack and took one and gave him one. She left him the lighter but kept the pack.
Next time, she dug in her purse and came up with matches and again gave him a cig and it both with the same match. For her fourth, she just lit one and didn't even offer him a cig.
Cindy had a glass of wine as I had dessert. She also smoked four while dining. The couple at the right left early. It was a good viewing night. One 20ish lady, probably 22, we had known since her teen years chain smoked as she usually does. She was into Marlboro Lights. It was an outstanding participation night. Several other women smoked.
There are some nice family restaurants and some have smoking. We still go to a non-smoking restaurant every so often. The thing about these upbeat restaurants is there is a heavier percentage of smokers and the women that come there, no matter what the age, come pretty well fixed up.
