Hello everyone,Happy New year. Having just returned from Spain decided to turn on the ocr forum to see if there was any contact, what do I find well to me a load of rubbish---reason being if I were interested in racing with ocr the nature of all these messages would not instill any enthusiasm. What I would be looking for was advice about how to go racing,what boats and engines to use,membership and who to contact. This being for new members or anyone interested in the sport. For more experienced members I would be seeking more techinical advice on engines boats and any other information that would benefit me. What I find to my amazement seems to me to be bickering children, I seem to recall we did ask for contact to be kept ongoing but I was surprized to find this sort of messages coming on the forum. As far as I am concerned there was only one constructed message. This is no way to run our sport. Contrary to what people may think everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion, I as one have always loved this sport whether it be OCR or OFFSHORE. While we are on the subject of keeping in contact,on the grapevine I have now looking for a secretary, once again as I see it there is lack of communication from the Committee.. Sorry I have no time to do the job as I am always travelling. While on the subject of communication on returning home from holiday I opened the mail and found a letter from the Chairman enclosing a membership cheque dated and signed 25-11-01 to our amazement I found that it and others had been misplaced.Why had-nt the Committee noticed this before the twelve months were over, after all we did receive our membership cards with membership numbers on them??? As an individual member who has their own opinion my intention has not been to offend any members, but to draw their attention to COMMUNICATION.
