大家以前所謂的跑馬王---暨打盃賽事又來了，今年一樣跑二千四米，但今年參賽馬的實力較差，有些可能連六月中的二級賽皇太后盃也不能入Q，應該沒有上年這麼好看。執筆之時正下著綿綿細雨，選馬可能要先看看場地適應性。
上星期六轉播新航國際盃，香港馬王「原居民」走入第三，記憶猶新，老黃忠又出來跑了。此馬已慣遠征，應不怕休息時間不夠，今次對手弱，用馬偉昌必不能發揮最佳水準，但騎練合作處於蜜月期加上狀態大勇，合理膽材甚至可以捧W。
「神彩金剛」二千四長力好，上年同賽事僅負「奔騰」，今年如有相同水準必是三甲馬，抽一檔不算太好，但巫斯義騎功搭夠。
「喜蓮精神」上次騎來車前倒後大敗，今次原班人馬再來加程四百抽四檔，一檔的「神彩金剛」多會留後而二檔的「多旺」亦然，三檔「偶像」搶前後必可守於內欄三四位，如發揮出金盃之役的水準也可挑戰前二駒，如臨場下雨不必下注。
「豪情快勝」如有慢步速必夠實力入三甲，抽十一檔是邊線佳選。
「超霸」是香港馬王「翠河」的四份三兄弟，用洗毅力顯決心，馬實力足夠取獎金。
「百勝駒」用戴勝，長力不成疑問，蝕分太多但是冷門佳選。
順序提供「神彩金剛」，「原居民」，「喜蓮精神」及「超霸」。
