A Life�

I shall never have life�s measure,
All the pain and all the pleasure.
Heights of joy to depths of sorrow,
Here this day, but gone the morrow.
Past regrets breed future fears,
Piling up through days and years.
Never finding a happy medium,
Moments of joy from years of tedium.
Worlds of wonder, worlds of woe.
Life�s the same where �er we go.
When work is over and toil is done,
We seek ourselves, days in the sun.
The race is over, the trials are through,
Greatest of gifts was knowing you.
