I�ve got three shirts, four pair of shorts
Two cans of Pork and Beans-
Some tape and an Ace bandage�
And an extra pair of jeans.

My bag is old and battered-
From the many miles it�s known.
That suitcase and a rigging bag-
Are all I�ve ever owned.

I�m what they call a �cowboy�-
The title brings no shame�
The label is a lifestyle�
And one I�m proud to claim!

Five hundred thousand miles of road-
A lot of two-bit shows�
Small pots and �home-town� judging
At the local rodeos�

The years have passed so quickly-
My hair is growing gray�
I think I have a few years left,
So I�ll be on my way.

I�ve burned a lot of bridges-
And dumped a lot of loads�
The only kind of life for me�
Is �going down the road�.
