Memorial Day, a great day for more remembering that disasterous day. Here's one I wrote back then.

I Still Salute Our Flag

Death and destruction came from the sky,
the whole world watched and asked "why?"
Horrific attacks on American soil,
tempers worldwide were in a boil.

How could they think that they would win,
not acts of religion, pure acts of sin.
No God promotes loss of innocent lives,
moms and dads, husbands and wives.

So many carried out in a body bag,
yet America and I still salute our flag.
They'll never suceed in destroying our land,
as long as we hold on to our God's hand....
