 VAMPIRE SONNET

Seductively, she prowls the umbra night.
Below the phantom moon she stalks her prey.
Moon huntress, sisters mischief of midnight.
One down and five to go ‘fore light of day.
Beware the vamp, she seeks your secret hide.
Bloodthirsty, weak and famished, she must feed.
In sync with moon, immortal is her stride.
All for blood, blood for all, her spirit creed.
Dark temptress of the night eternally,
With serpent fangs, she yearns to pierce your flesh.
Into your arms, she’ll charm hypnotically.
Within your veins, her poison blood shall mesh.
Her night without a day has just begun.
Night is she alone, she is night, as one.
