My Private Place

There is a place I like to go
A place where I find peace
The beauty there o�er me flows
When I vist, my troubles cease

I go to my private place to reflect
I stoop to pick a bouquet
With God I re-connect
As I linger to read and pray

A large tree provides leafy shade
Butterflies flit here and there
Flowers over the stone wall cascade
A bench is there to share

I remember when I was a child
The fragrance of lilacs in the spring
The roses that grew wild
Bouquets to Mother I would bring

Each of us needs a private place
Where we can find beauty and peace
Separate ourselves from the race
And all our problems release
