 Postponing Goodbye

I was reading letters
From moments in time
When words reached
Heart touching mine

Messages were many
Desires flowing then
Memories do remain
Of where and when

So now I’m clinging
Yes, its foolish of me
To continue desiring
Of what cannot be

Postponing goodbye
Hanging suspended
Before heart breaks
Knowing its ended
