The woods, hold the night tight
pressed to its breast,
crushed against the leaves.
Dark velvet coat
rustling in a gentle breeze
and I find peace
in the folds,
waiting patiently.
Wrapped in the memories,
a warm soft glow,
longing forever
to be.
