Today I woke up starting my day, Not knowing it would end up being grey! I got in an argument with my dad, So I left the house feeling very mad... Oh my gosh, I've got to stop! Now all I see are lights of a cop. Last thing I knew was I went to swerve, And I think, I must've hit a curb... I got in my car and drove away, Thinking this has been the worst day! The tears streaming down my face, "I just want to get out of this place"... There's blood everywhere! Why is life being so unfair? Looking at the clouds in the sky, I can't help but wonder, am I going to die?... The tears are making it so I can't see clear, Oh my gosh, I'm gonna hit a deer! I wanted to push on my brake, But, I think, I was a little late... I told the EMT's I'm sorry I got so mad. I want you to know, I love you dad! I'm sorry this is how things had to be, But now, the life has been sucked out of me. ~Mindy~ This poem is written differently from other poems, it goes from the past to the present every other verse.
