There are no words to describe the horror
Though the images are fresh and clear
My poetic vocabulary doesn�t have the words
Restricted to emotions and language I fear

I have no words for the anger and outrage
That cling desperate to the way I feel
None that may burn as bright
For it still, doesn�t seem real

I have no words for the compassion
None to bring comfort to the grieving
Waiting for word of friends and relatives
The devastation beyond human believing

I have no words for the deep sorrow
Though my heart grieves for the lost
It is more than my words can express
Beyond what all humanity can cost

There are no words
None that ring true
No way to make this right
No matter what we do
