The brick wall covered in peeling graffiti
Layered history of forgotten street artisans
Spewed forth from abandoned aerosol cans
A rainbow of colors from the five and dime
Remnants of succsevive decades gone by
Johnny loves somebody swirled in red
A cannabis leave in iridescent green
Roaring lion in earth tones of brown
Half eaten by slang of unknown gang
Rainbows and suns crying tears
Dark and light verse, poetic to some
Mix and match words scrawled on the run
All of it displayed proudly,
Though peeling in spots
Here on graffiti wall
