Most interestingly, the article recognizes the selection committee acknowledgement of the sagarin ratings in certain situations. (Like when there is a marked difference in the two schemes. Our present situation.) I'm not saying this will be of any influence for the Dance, but it could be for the NIT, at least once the sweetheart East teams are in.
