Check PW's comments on the refs. Why did they even bother to have the tournament? Of course, it would have been an embarrassment for the HL if the top seeds got knocked out of this goofy new format, so the officials made sure BU couldn't lose. How much more can you stack the deck for the top seed? They should just let the regular season champ get the bid and forget this whole conference tourney joke.
Overall, I thought the team played very well the last month and a half. Check the stats, shot the ball very well, rebounded well, few turnovers, what else could they have done? I'll agree that better PG play would have put them over the top, but Harris and Twyman improved over the year, as did the whole team.
As for next year, no doubt Riggs and Green will be tough to replace. However, there are some players for sure. Thues should be outstanding (HL POY in 04 & 05) in a very solid backcourt that will defend, take care of the ball, and contribute on the boards. They'll have good size, quick, fundamentally very sound, and deep (need to find a 3 pt. shooter in the group). Warren and Covile will be as good as any frontcourt players in the HL, and wil provide offense. Remember, Covile is very young, I gaurantee he'll be a big time player (HL POY in 06). Yes, they'll lack size for sure, but that's no real detriment in the HL. I've got a feeling next years team is the kind PW likes.
