*Wild* turkeys can fly for short distances at 55 mph
Turkeys can run up to 25 mph, horses up to 38.
Turkeys have excellent hearing but poor depth perception
Male turkeys love to gobble at loud noises (females don't gobble at all; they click) }}}

Surprised yet again and still wondering why these strange beasts were chasing him, the turkey abruptly takes flight and distances himself about a hundred yards from those behind him before dropping to the ground at a run, unknowingly well ahead of the waiting feline.
