"It is just as I said. Dark Love, my oldest daughter, and, I confess, long saught after despite her leaving the peaks years ago, returned shortly after you left. It was a wonderful reunion, but she seeks to find the mother who abandoned her. I refused to help, I've too much pride to let my children go crawlng back," he was suddenly aware that he may have struck a nerve, and rushed on. "DL has grown to be a mare that I am almost ashamed of. She has nothing of the respect, pride, or tactfullness that I value in my other offspring. This is my fault, I failed in raising her," he paused for a moment, then added as an afterthought, "I will leave Glazed Over the territory. She loves the Peaks well enough, and I can trust her to stay loyal to it...I only wish I had another to leave in charge of her...Dazy is much too giddy to be responsible for a herd..." He glanced up at the mare, "What happened with you?"
