Subject: You've Showed Me The Way

I wrote this poem when my grandfather passed away. I was 13 and this was my way of mourning and paying tribute to the most important man in my life.

~You've Showed Me The Way~

You've always been there for me,
And there's nothing I can say,
But you've given me the key,
And you've shown me the way,

To a world that's full of happiness,
And a world that's full of love,
And a world that's like a message,
On the wings of a baby dove,

And the life I used to know,
Can no longer exist,
It's like I have been left,
In a cool and hazy mist,

With only some things clear to me,
Of which I am not sure,
But that you have found for me,
The one and only cure,

And because of this special friendship,
I feel I have to say,
That I'll remember you for always,
No matter if you go or stay.
