I came across this website one night as I was playing around on the computer. I read some really sad stories and some great ones. I, fortunatly, am one of the miricle stories. I have had 7 open heart surgeries all before the age 4! My doctors told me I am one of the oldest people living with this disease. (fun being a gunia pig) I am 23 years old and had all my surgeries at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia by Dr. William Norwood. If anyone would like to talk to me or ask questions I would love to hear your stories and give your hope. Though I have restrictions I live a pretty normal life, for how long though, no one really knows. My advice to you is to not give up hope. My will to live is much stronger than most and I have been through a lot of physical and emotional pain with this disease. But it has given me a speical way of looking at life and this world.
