Spitz stands still as a statue, the sixth sense, his telepathy, telling him that his mate is coming. He sends out a final call before he glimpses her. Fighting the urge to wriggle like a puppy and bound over to her, he simply waits, the shadow of a smile on his lips, a tangible love in his oculars. He nuzzles her, licking her softly on her cheek, caressing her face with his warm salmon tongue. He looks over her shoulder. Wondering if she wishes to return to her kill, or traverse to the meadow with him. He waves his tail and awaits a retort.
