Subject: To Aero and Empire



*Black~Rose lopes easily, with Empire on her right side, and Aero to her left. Her face creases in a contented expression and she smiles with her gleaming teeth shown. She sniffs the air, scenting water ahead, and heads towards it. Upon reaching it she delicately pads down to the water, crouching and extending her head gracefully, her carnation tongue lapping up the water. She takes a few steps into the stream, her large black paws grasping the rocks that lie along the bottom. Feeling the delicious coolness washing over her paws, she jumps on the shadowy fish that swim beneath the surface. The minnows elude her clumsy paws and she eventually turns around to face Aero. She heads over to him, nuzzling him affectionately, and still uncomprehending at his growing up, lies down beside him, taking him between her paws, and grooms his silky fur. Sad that it is no longer just the pair, she sighs, resigned to this new way of life. She looks at Empire, still unsure and untrusting, and hurriedly continues Aero's bath. She lays her head across Aero's back, wondering if there is anything he needs right now. She jumps up and produces a stick, and holds it between her teeth, daring the wolves to come and take it from her. She grins, her black lips pulling back to reveal salmon gums. She shakes her head like a dog with a chew toy and growls playfully.~*
