Subject: [.silence.]

A Weyr should be full of the great thunder of dragons, the laughter of its denizens, the awareness and bravery of Riders. It should not be as silent as the stone it is hewn of; silent as the grave. This Weyr; it reminds her of between. So very silent, still and eerie. Her skin crawls into goosebumps, and she self-consciously hugs herself, dark gaze searching quietly the bowl. The Hatching Grounds has also been silent, but in a better way than this.
She had hoped to catch a glimpse of the golden queen, but she supposed that the beast and rider might still be retiring from the Flight. The Flight that she hoped would sire yet another golden beast. Pray the bronze was giving and the Queen was willing. Shards, if only there was a way to tell.
She considers calling out, but if there were dragons about, they would know the presence of someone new, would they not? Are not dragonriders and their ilk more intuitive, thanks to their massive brethren? By the Egg, let us hope so; it could get cold spending the night waiting.
