**Awakening abruptly at a twig snapping in one of the nearby bushes the red she wolf stands imediately and growls at the unwelcome creature.Suddenly a rabbit leaps out of the bushes and runs off into the distance.Sighing,she thinks to herself that she had just lost another meal.Yawning and stretching she hops off of the rock and heads into the opposite direction of her den.Walking slowly with her head low half awake she detects the smell of a deer.She imediately snaps her head up now fully awake.Begins to trace the scent and comes upon a mother doe licking a newborn fawn.Knowing this wont be very hard she leaps from the bushes and near the fawn.The mother runs into the bushes not wanting to leave her defenseless fawn alone.She picks the fawn up by its throat not killing it just yet and begins to half drag it into the bushes.Reaching the bushes she snaps its neck and lies it on the ground begining to eat.**
