I wanna lay you down in a bed of roses
For tonight I'll sleep on a bed of nails
I wanna be just as close as the Holy Ghost is
And lay you down
On a bed of roses

His attention snapped back to the drunken Shania as Angelina yealled at her. It seemed the tall woman was not not compliant with the peace treaty the woman who'd been his wife had tried to form. If she didn't cool it, he was going to simply just tell Freb to load her up in the car and he'd drive them back to the Complex.

It was good Memphis had apologized, though he figured the other man had a long way to go before everyone really even began to forgive him. And then there was Sway, who he'd not have hurt more than if he'd plunged a knife right into her.

He heard Memphis' request for a coke, and cracked one open for the man. "Good thinkin'.. He said softly. Laurie Ann's sweet, timid voice was heard then, and he turned to her with a smile. She was a sweet woman, and so good for Toby. He'd always enjoyed the little blonde's presence. "You go it, Laurie." He set to work making the drink as Toby popped back over. "Yeah, I'm not so sure I'd trust your credentials." He said with a chuckle, setting Laurie Ann's drink in front of her. "I'm glad for the rain...it'll melt the rest of the snow." Spring was fast approaching and he had always enjoyed the clean, fresh air of Cascade, and was looking especially forward to it this year, due to his absence.

The blush that had colored Laurie's fair cheeks made him grin. The woman was adorable...there was nothing he didn't love about her. She was the answer to everything in his life, and he could not wait to become her husband. He'd spend the rest of his life making up for the ten years they'd lost...and while he'd always miss those years, he was dedicated to making all of the rest count.

"Screw you guys. I'd give good advice." He said with a scowl that was a bit dramatic, and entirely full of humor. He then chuckled. "Stan, how about a Miller for this guy?" He wasn't craving the harder stuff like the rest of them, apparently. Beer'd be just fine, in his book.

He turned to watch the drama unfold with Shania, silently hoping Freb wouldn't get caught in the crossfire again. All seemed under control almost as soon as it had started, tough, and then Angelina was laying into the brunette. He looked at Laurie. "Poor Frebby, huh? Guy musta got the crap beat out of him. Betcha it was from her." He was willing to put the pink slip to his car on it, in fact. "You sure you don't wanna knock me around a little? It'll make you fit in..." His blue eyes were full of humor as he leaned to kiss her lightly on the lips. "Tell you what...after the weekend rain goes away, I'll personally wash and wax the Audi for ya. That's a once in a lifetime opportunity, you know..." It was obvious to anyone that the young man was simply drunk on life and happiness, with a little bit of fried nerves thrown into the mix.
