A lonely road
Crossed another cold state line
Miles away from those I love
Purpose hard to find
While I recall all the words you spoke to me
Can't help but wish that I was there
Back where I'd love to be

The place was clearing out fast and remarkably without drama. He was grateful for that, God knew Angelina didn't need more stress than she'd been handed in the past 24 hours. He waved to Toby and Laurie as she disappeared, Toby's banter fading with them.
A moment later Shania called out, letting him know she'd be sure to find some trouble if they weren't quick. "No worries...five minutes and we'll be on our way." He sincerely hoped Freb would both keep the woman on her feet, and out of trouble for that long.
To Angelina he nodded, setting the water on the bar. "You got it." He moved towards the switches, remembering which ones worked which light as if he hadn't been gone a day. It was odd how some things just never seemed to escape your memory. When she returned with an armful, he took what she offered. "We best get out there before they defile public property..." Or worse, the vehicle they all had to ride in.
He shook his head at Freb's explanation of the Jeep. "Fabulous, Frebby." He said, not interested with the mechanics of the Renegade's locks, but instead ending this night. He put the food in back and took the keys from Freb when they were offered. "Thanks for the warning." He said, though he would have been sure to check. When everyone was in the vehicle and buckled, he started the Jeep, not surprised to see it was a manual. He guided it out of the parking lot and headed toward the Complex.

Some search
Never finding a way
Before long
They waste away
I found you
Something told me to stay
I gave in
To selfish ways
And how I miss someone to hold
When hope begins to fade
