After giving Tamsin a kiss, Gideon patted Josh on the head then greeted Mekayla before talking a seat beside his beloved. He couldn't help but smile as she rattled on excitedly about getting Josh a new outfit and taking both him and Mekayla to see their new home.

"Of course, my dear," he told her. "After we eat dinner we can take everyone back to our home for some of that apple pie we bought earlier." The excitement he saw in Tamsin's eyes made him happy. It felt good not to have her feeling depressed about her deformed hand any longer.

The mage called Marna to the table and ordered them all a meal. When the barmaid left for the kitchen, he decided to tell Josh, Mekayla and Tamsin about Donovan since they would undoubtedly remember him from his brief stay at the Mage Mansion. He told them of how Donovan had aged while learning to control a good portion of his magic and of how he had ascertained numerous injuries while making his way from the Dark Forest to the tavern when he found the mansion closed down. By the time he finished the tale Marna was back, setting plates of food before them before hurrying off again.

"I don't know where Donovan will go after he's healed," the mage said, facing his betrothed. "I was wondering it you would allow him to stay with us until he gets himself settled in somewhere."

While Tamsin thought over his request, he turned to Mekayla. "So, what have you been up to since leaving the mansion? Are you teaching somewhere else?" After taking a sip of java he thought about another very important question for the woman. "You will be attending our wedding at the end of the week won't you? It will be held in the Rover's Camp located in the woods north of Bizmar City."
