El próximo trimestre yo estudiaré hábitates de mariposa en el Lomas de Aparicio: un área del bosque en Michoacan, México que ha proveido el refugio para mariposas durante los meses de invierno fuera de la temporada de la migración. Esta región también tiene muchos otros especies en peligro de extinción, inclusive la chachalaca, el jaguar, la onza y el ocelote, y conocido para una clima diverso geográficamente, donde la costa de Michoacán tiene un clima tropical, mientras la parte más montañosa del estado donde estaré estudiando un gran parte del tiempo puede tener las temperaturas más frescas, y mas hermosos paisajes también.
