"That was a great ride. Why dont you go back to the barn and get a soda and relax a little while and i'll cool Welcome out for you" Kelsey takes a deep breath then says "Ok, i think i'll take you up on that one, my legs feel like jello, i dont think i'll be able to walk him". Shayla, Aaron and Kaylee go to the barns and get out cold soda while Kelsey walks Welcome until his breathing is normal. Then she takes him into the barn and lets him have a few sips of water before she untacks him and sponges him off. Then she walks him around some more with his cooler on his back. When he is completely cool and dry Kelsey brings him back to the barn isle. Kaylee comes out of the tack stall and helps Kelsey groom him, then they put his blankets on and lead him into his stall. A little while later Shayla comes out. "Kelsey, the schooling ring is settled down for lunch break, you should ride Tori now" Shayla tells her. "Ok" Kelsey agrees. She gets Tori out and grooms him. Then she puts his splint boots and bell boots on and tacks him up. Shayla meets her out there. "Ok, no more crazy bucking bronco crap today, i want to see him relaxed and quiet, but not dead" Shayla tells her. "Kelsey smirks and salutes her and Shayla rolls her eyes. Tori is much more relaxed and instead of crazily running around and fighting, he comes on the bit and floats around the ring at the walk, trot and canter. "Ok, today lets not push it over fences, just hop the 3'9 vertical and the 3'6 increasing gymnastics a few times then call it a day, this way hes fresh for tomorrow." Shayla tells her. Kelsey nods and schools Tori over each set of fences a few times. When she is satisfied with his work, she walks him off. As she is cooling out riders start flooding into the schooling ring. "Good thing you rode during lunch, now it would have been torture riding him" Shayla tells her. "Nah, he would have been perfect, hes only bad the first time in a new place" Kelsey replies. Shayla rolls her eyes. "Perfection is a very loose term for you" She replies. "True, but Tori is perfect and hes going to win tomorrow" Kelsey tells her. "Ok" Shayla replies, not completely convinced. Kelsey goes to cool him off. "I'll see you in an hour in the schooling ring with Attitide" Shayla tells her. Kelsey nods and takes care of Tori. Then she gets Attitude ready and takes her to the schooling ring. Shayla appears a few minutes later. "Do the same thing you did with Tori, i want her to be fresh tomorrow too. Your showing her in the 5'6+ division and Tori is entered in the 4'6+ division." Shayla tells her. Kelsey rides Attitude the same way she rode Tori and Attitude does perfectly. "Shes a little strong over fences today" Kelsey comments. "Do the combination some more with her, she'll settle down" Shayla tells her. Kelsey takes her over the combination a few more times, then cools her out. By then it is time to feed.........
