*Travis had been miserable at Flicker Of Hope since half the farm's stock had been killed by the equine herpes virus, including his own mare. Finally he made a decision to go to a boarding school far away from horses for awhile. At first, Saddle did not want him to go, but finally she decides to let him go to an all boys boarding school in Pennsylvania. Saddle and Travis take the weekend and drive up to the farm. Saddle leaves Sunday morning and Travis starts his new life without horses.*
