Susan lowered the ramp and stepped inside the trailer. She led out one of her new horses. Nori, a beautiful black Trakehner mare, tossed her proud head and whinnied to the farm. “Easy girl!” Susan said, smiling. “She’s beautiful, Mom!” Alli said with delight, observing the lovely mare. “She’s a 4 y/o Trakehner, purebred, and she does 1st level dressage and 2’ jumping.” Susan said, smiling. “She’s lovely.” Alli said, patting the mare’s neck. Susan took the mare into an empty stall and walked back into the trailer. She led a stunning practically white TB stallion down. He threw his head eagerly as she put him in another empty stall. “Oh, Toad, be good.” She muttered, patting his glossy coat. She fed and watered all the horses before heading to the house. She walked inside and saw Alli sitting on the couch, watching a dressage show with her and Feather in it. “Alli, I wanted to talk to you.” Susan said, sitting down beside her daughter. “What, Mom?” The teen asked, grinning at her mom. “Well, I know that you and Witch are a good pair, but why don’t we sell her? She isn’t enough of a challenge for you. You need another horse to train, not a fully trained horse like Witch.” Susan said, smiling. “But, then I would just have Feather.” Alli said, thinking about what her mom had said. “Not if I gave you Nori.” Susan replied. “You mean it? That would be awesome! She would be even better than Witch, cause I could train her myself!” Alli said excitedly. “She’s yours, I think you will like her just fine.” Susan said. “Thanks, Mom!” Alli said, grinning. Susan smiled and winked at her daughter. Then, she headed upstairs to work on some training schedules :-)
