"We're going home after the trail ride." Susan said, patting Chance's sleek neck. His glossy bay coat gleamed in the afternoon sunlight. Jon patted Montana's coat and felt the blue roan QH's eagerness to go. Jon was riding western, but who said he couldn't jump anyway? Alli grinned and rubbed Feather's silky grey coat. Jesse was riding Perfect and chatting with Jennifer about his lessons. Laura said, "Mom, Bet and I are going to take a couple logs up ahead on the trail." Susan nodded and watched as the 17 y/o and her TB/QH stallion cantered ahead. They soared over the logs with perfect style. Susan couldn't help it. She pushed Chance into a canter and the TB moved out in a msooth, swift canter. He popped over each log with ease. Jon grinned and urged Montana into a lope. The colt snapped over each log and then broke into a gallop at the end. Alli and Feather cantered smoothly over the logs. Lana and Sparkle picked up a canter...
