Susan walked into the kitchen and looked at her family. Alli was sitting reading Pony Girl for the 6th time. The 15 y/o was wearing an orange spaghetti strap shirt and short jean shorts. Jon was eating a piece of toast. He had on jeans and a ‘Cowboy’ tee shirt. Laura was talking on her cell phone. She was wearing a purple halter top and short jean shorts. Laura clicked off the phone and said, “Hey mom! What are we doing today? I was thinking that we should take the dogs over to the park and play with them.” Susan said. “Cool!” Alli and Jon chorused. Laura grinned and said, “All of them?” Susan laughed. “Yes all of them.” She replied. Mike looked up from the computer. “You have an e-mail, Susan.” He said. Susan looked at it and then said, “Ready to go?” Everyone nodded and went to get their dog. Susan whistled and Sparks raced down the stairs. She clipped the leash to his collar. Bandit careened around the corner and stopped in front of her, barking happily. She clipped a leash to him and looked around. Mocha barked excitedly and Susan hooked a leash to her as well. She took the 3 dogs to the SUV and put them in the back. Alli brought out Roxanne and Jon brought out Max. Mike brought out Dingo and Scout. Laura brought out Dot and Rogue. “That everyone?” Mike asked jokingly as he looked in the SUV. Laura, Jon, and Alli piled into the backseat with the dogs and they drove to the park. When they arrived at the dog section, Everyone got their dogs and let them loose. They raced around playfully and jumped on their owners. Susan tossed a tennis ball for Sparks. Laura threw a frisbee for Rogue. Dot and Scout were playing tug o’ war with a rope. Max and Jon were playing around. Alli was taking Roxanne and Dingo through the agility course. Bandit was doing his many tricks for Mike. After 2 hours of playing around, Susan, Mike, Jon, Laura, and Alli sat down on the grass. The dogs plopped down on top of them and barked excitedly. Laura laughed and said, “Mom, do you think that you could buy me a TB?” Susan nodded. “I think that we will put Best Bet up for lease and we will buy you a racehorse.” She replied. Laura smiled and patted Rogue. They sat for about 10 minutes and then walked to the SUV, dogs trotting behind them.They drove home and let the dogs inside.
