*Mikki, Saddle, Hannah, Jessie and Maggie all sat at the table after dinner one night. "I've decided two things" Saddle tells her kids. "First, i am adopting another daughter, a 14 year old girl named Alison. she has cerebal palsy and is in a wheelchair, but she does ride and is very kind. Second, because Alison will not be able to get up and down the stairs, i have decided that it is time to completely re-model this house. There will be a builder coming in to help tomorrow night. We will design our new house together, then the builder will tear this house down and re-build it to whatever we want it to be." Saddle tells them. "Wow! Cool!" Jessie exclaims. "Mom, i want a big porch in the front of the house with a roof and everything!" Hannah exclaims. "Can i have a room in the basement? its so much cooler down there" Mikki asks. "Sure, you can Mikki, Hannah, i would love a big porch too" Saddle tells them. "Jessie and I want to share a room" Maggie tells Saddle. "Yeah" Jessie agrees. "Ok, we can do that too" Saddle tells them. "I want a big room with lots of room for toys!" Michelle exclaims "Alright" Saddle agrees. "Anything else?"Saddle asks. "Nope" They all exclaim...
The next day....
The builder comes and they design the blueprints of the new house. (see them on my members page!) and talk about the building. finally they decide that the construction will begin in a week. While the house was being built Saddle, Mikki, Hannah, Jessie, Maggie and Michelle would stay with Saddle's parents while the new house was being built. When the builder leaves they start packing up everything they want to keep. "We're going to get all new furniture for the new house, all of ours is getting old and worn out. Just pack clothes, school stuff, horse stuff, any posters and pictures you want to keep and all your electronic stuff." Saddle tells them. they all nod and go to their rooms to sort through their stuff...
1 week later....
Saddle and the kids arrive at Saddle's parents house an hour away from FCS. Most of their stuff is stored away at a storage rental place, but their clothes and riding gear is with them. every day they all make the long trip to brs to take care of their horses and ride them.....
5 months later......
Finally the final stages of building the house are close. An interior designer comes to help Saddle and the kids design all the rooms of the house and pick out all new furniture. They do all of it at the adoption agency with Alison. Mikki and Alison get along very well instantly. Together the whole family designs the house. They all design their bedrooms and all the other rooms and pick out all the furniture.....
3 weeks later.......
Finally everything is done. the interior designer has all the rooms designed exactly how they planned, the house has a huge front porch and all the rooms are large with lots of windows. everything is clean and beautiful and all the kids are very happy with their new rooms. There is an elevator for Alison to get from one floor to the next and all the new furniture comes in. Saddle and the kids go to their new, improved house and set up all the furniture. once everything is set up, they go to pick up Alison from the adoption agency. She rolls up to the front door in her wheelchair and Saddle opens it for her. "Wow! its so beautiful!" She exclaims breathlessly. "Everything is so perfect! its like a dream" she whispers. Saddle smiles happily. "I'm glad you like it, Mikki will give you the tour, if you want" Saddle tells her. "Alright!" she exclaims. she and Mikki go off to explore the house together while everyone else gets settled into their own rooms.*
