My whole family was eating dinner at the table when I decided to tell them the news."Hey everybody, dad(Alex) & I have something to tell you guys." Darci asked "what? what is it? huh? come one, tell us!" I nodded & Alex continued, "Well, your mom & I have decided to adopt a new member of the family.Her name is Jewel, she's 16 years old & is a really good western rider, so I think Joey & her should get along fine.Your mom plans on teaching her to ride english & jump also." I continued, "Were going to pick her up tommorrow, so you should all come along.We decided to adopt her a few days ago, & I've decided to give her our new QH, Made Prett Fancy, you know? Maggie." everyone nodded."So is this ok with you guys?" everyone agreed."Good then." I smiled & said "Jasmine, Arianna & Darci, do you guys want to help me set up her room?" they all said yes.We finished supper, & Ari, Jasmine & Darci followed me upstairs to Jewel's new room.The room had purple colored carpeting & aqua, fuchsia & yellow coered wall paper.It had 2 windows, they both had blinds that were purple. Jasmine said "lets make it look really cool, but not over do it." I agrreed with her & so did Darci & Arianna.We already had the furniture for the room, so we put it in there.There was a bed that was colored blue with aqua, fuchsia & yellow blankets & pillows.There was a aqua colored dresser & a fuchsia colored chair, along with a full length mirror & a yellow painted bookshelf.We hung some horse posters on the wall & then moved in her desk & new computer which were both colored to match her room.We finished making Jewel's room look nice & went to bed...
The next day @ 10:00 AM, Jasmine,Joey & Arianna drove to the adoption agency in Joey's truck, & Alex, Darci Jonathan & I drove there in my silver colored truck.We parked in the parking lot of the adoption agency & got out.everybody walked into the adoption agency.After doing an hour's worth of paper work, my kids got to meet Jewel.She was very excited to meet new people.Everyone said hello to her, & I told Jewel the good news, "Alex & I have adopted you Jewel." ab ig smile lit up Jewel's face & she said "thank you SO much! I know your going to be a great family! wow!"
I smiled too & said to Jewel, go get your things, your going to your new home now.Jewel nodded & ran off to get her things.After Jewel had said goodbye to all of her friends, Jewel & the rest of us got into the 2 trucks & drove home...
30 mintues later, We parked in the driveway of Timeless Farm & got out."I know you said you owned a farm & that you were a famous rider & everything, but I didn't expect this farm to be so big!" I grinned at her & said, "before we check out the barn & the grounds & stuff, lets get you settled into your new room.We all went inside the house & showed Jewel her new room.She said she loved it.After Jewel had put away all of her things, I told her, theres a suprise waiting for you in the mares barn.Jewel nodded & said she would be down there in a few minutes.I walked to the mares barn & made sure that Maggies big red ribbon was on straight.Jewel found the barn & walked inside.She saw Maggie, with a big red ribbon tied arouns her neck, & a sign that said Congratulations Jewel, We hope you like your new horse! Jewel gasped & said "She's...she's...she's for me?" I nodded & Jewel screeched happily & jumped up & down. She stopped & cried "thank you, thank you SO, SO, SO much!!!" She ran over to Maggie & stroked the bay horses neck.I said to her, "This horses show name is Made Pretty Fancy, but we call her Maggie for short." Jewel smiled widened even more & she said, "Maggie is perfect!" Jewel spent some more time with Maggie, & then me, Alex & all of my kids except for Jewel started doing barn chores.Jewel wanted to spend some quality time with her new horse, so she started grooming Maggie.Jewel thought to herself, a new home, a new family, a new horse...a great new beginning for me.Jewel smiled & knew she would like it here at Timeless Farm...
