Jewel sat on her bed, reading her favorite book, National Velvet, for the 5th time.Jewel had recently moved into her new home, as she was just adopted by a woman named Dana & Dana's family.Jewel was still a little amazed that she had moved into this giant house with a family full of famous equestrians.Not to mention that the stables & the whole property of Timeless Farm was giant.Jewel looked arouns at her new room.It was in her favorite colors, aqua blue, yellow, fuchsia & purple.Posters of famous western riders hung on the walls.Her new sister, Arianna, a 15 y/o girl, had given her a new poster to hang in her room.So the room had posters of famous western riders, along with a poster of a famous englis rider, who did showjumping & a poster of her new mom, jumping her famous stallion, Calypso, over a 5 foot fence at a grand prix show.Jewel knew that she liked & would soon love her new home.It was like a dream come true.A family of her own, a room of her own, a horse of her own, & lots of new stuff & a new wardrobe of clothing.Jewel heard a knock on her bedroom door.Someone called "can I come in?" Jewel replied "sure." Jasmine opened up the door.She was wearing some dark blue swishy pants, & a white t-shirt that said Princess on it."me, Darci, Arianna & Jonathan are going to watch some videos of mom riding.Do you want to watch with us?" Jasmine asked.Jewel said "sure." to her new, 18 y/o sister & got off of her bed.She followed Jasmine downstairs to the family room.Arianna was sitting on the couch, with a grey toy poodle named Silver on her lap.Jonathan was in a recliner.Darci was sitting on the floor, leaning against the couch, with Dana's german sheperd, Buddy, & collie, Lincoln, sitting next to her.Jasmine & Jewel sat down on the couch & Arianna started the video.It started with Dana entering the riding ring, on one of the horses at TF, Miss Congeniality.She squeezed Miss C. into a canter & the announcer said in a english accent, "now we have Dana Smith on her Holsteiner mare, Miss Congeniality." Dana collected Miss C. as she tried to go fast, & cantered her towards the first jump.Miss C. flew over the 4'-6" oxer with the ease & style of a experienced jumper.Dana's riding position was faultless.Arianna told her "this is at the Pennslyvania National, its a grand prix show in where else but, Pennslyvania." Jewel nodded & they went back to watching the video.After a hour, they turned off the TV & every1 headed off to do something.Jasmine said "I'm going to visit s friend, so I'll be back later." everyone said bye & went off to do there own things."Hey Jewel," said Arianna, "do you want to help me get some of the foals used to clippers?" Jewel nodded in agreement & followed Arianna down to the stables."Let's do Lady Commander first," Arianna said.Jewel replied "K." Arianna told her "Mom's kinda worried about selling her, because no one has bid on her yet.But Calypso's Prize, R.T, Starsmoke & Tally have all been bid on.Prize is probably going to go to Katie.Christina, Jade & Helen want Tally, Susan wants R.T but so does Jade & some other people.Starsmoke has been bid on by Katie & Leah." Arianna chattered.The 2 girls reached Lady's pasture & walked into it.Milady Midnight galloped up to greet them.Despite being rather small, even though her dam & sire were 16.1 & 16.3 hands, the Friesian foal was very sweet & dangerously cute.Jewel had never had a horse before Maggie, & never had a horse or foal to sell either.She still couldn't see how Dana & the rest of her famil could manage to sell such cute things as foals.If she owned foals, she didn't think she could stand to sell them.Dana had told her that "thats business for you." Arianna clipped a lead rope to Lady's halter & they led her back to the barn.After 30 minutes, Lady had gotten used to the clippers being around her, & the clippers touching her when they weren't on.When Jasmine came home from her friends house 2 hours later, she found that Jewel & Ari were getting to know each-other & were fast becoming friends.Jewel thought for the 2nd time that day, Timeless Farm is a dream come true for real!
