Second placed Bankstowntake on third placed Gordon for the right to play reigning premiers Balmain in the final.

These two teams have met twice this season with a win apiece - Bankstown winning the first round one day encounter by a massive 170 runs while Gordon won a tight one day encounter when both teams were hampered by National League commitments (Bankstown missing 5 players to Gordon's 2).

Their two day match in the last round was drawn after the second day was abandoned due to a wet pitch. Bankstown had the upper hand after dismissing Gordon for 176 on the first day.

Bankstown have probably the strongest side in the competition with 5 players having represented NSW this season in the National League - Therese McGregor, Michelle Goszko, Amanda Owens, Debbie Nelson and Sally Shaw and 1 player representing SA at the same level - Olivia Magno.

These players are compliment by the experience of Sally Pratt and Karina Bird.

Goszko is the key wicket for Gordon as she has scored in excess of 500 runs this season but Pratt, Owens and Shaw are not to be overlooked.

On the bowling front, they have an outstanding attack in McGregor and Nelson, well backed by leg spinner Magno.

Gordon have 3 players who represented NSW - Lisa Sthalekar, Bronwyn Calver and Shannon Cunneen. They are supported by the experience of Jodie Davis and Sally Butler and also have 4 players from the victorious NSW UNder 19 side in Kate & Alex Blackwell, Charlotte Anneveld and Julie McVie.

Cunneen and Davis have been the backbone of Gordon's batting and these two will need to make a good start if Gordon are to post a reasonable score.

Calver and Stalekar are Gordon's leading wickettakers but one of the youngsters will need to step up to keep the pressure on.

All in all, barring weather intrusions, it should be an interesting game.
