Bankstown won the toss and elected to field - the pitch was a little damp despite being covered.

Belinda Allard and Michelle Goszko were the main wicket-takers as Gordon were dismissed for 103 in the 78th over.

At one stage Gordon were 3/11 before a 59 run partnership between Kate Blackwell (38) and Bronwyn Calver (11). Alex Blackwell chimed in with 20 before the last 4 wickets fell for 1 run. Run scoring was also hampered by a long outfield.

Bankstown had to face 4 overs and were 0/1 overnight.

Amazingly, Gordon managed to win by 62 runs after dismissing Bankstown for 41 (they were 2/25 at one stage).

Calver bowled unchanged to take 6/8 from 20 overs, while Lisa Sthalekar 2/7, Sally Butler 1/12 (removing the danger bat of Goszko) and a run out rounded out the innings.

Gordon batted again (1/37) before the game was called off.

This now sees a 4th consecutive Balmain/Gordon first grade grand final. Can Gordon do it from 3rd??
