The annual City v Country fixtures were played in Parkes on the weekend of 20-21 October.

Saturday

Country won the toss and elected to bat. They made 9/175 - captain Lisa Keightley top scored with 46 while Jenny Wallace 35, Sally Shaw 25 and Leonie Coleman 18 also contributed. Bronwyn Calver lead the way for City with 3/28, Emma Twining and Sharon Millanta getting 1 each.

In reply, City made 5/176 with a couple of overs to spare - Lisa Sthalekar top scored with 46 while Michelle Goszko 41, Martha Winch 37 and Millanta 20 rounded out the scoring.

Emerging Country defeated Emerging City - Tara Riley (?) scoring a ton.

Sunday

City won the toss and elected to bat, compiling an impressive 5/230. The highlight of the innings was Winch's 102. Goszko 63 and Sthalekar 31 continued their good form while Therese McGregor chipped in with 21no.

Country were dismissed for 120 with a handful of overs to go. Amanda Owens top scored with 36. Sthalekar capped off a fine all round game with 3/16 and 2 catches. McGregor took 2/25 while Calver, Twining, Julie Hayes and Belinda Allard took 1 each.

Emerging Country also won their second match.
