I need help. I know none of you can do anything for me, but I hope that you have some advice to help me. I am almost four months pregnant. I have been seeing the doctor regularly, everything is fine. My problem is money. I am on medicaid to pay for doctor appointments, and will apply for WIC and food stamps soon. But I can't pay my bills because my bank account is being investigated because money that my aunt has been depositing in my account isn't showing up. Now I have been told to either by my landlord $700 or move out, and I have until Christmas. I have no family near, because I moved 1500 miles away to go to school. I am staying in school. I have no job and can't get one because I don't have time to work. I have no friends here. The child's father won't help because he doesn't want the child to survive. I am living in Oklahoma, and basically I want to know if anybody knows how I can get some help with my bills. I have to pay rent, make car payments, and pay insurance.

Some of them will offer material help. There is a map on the page to show you where they are located in Oklahoma.

Good luck with this! Keep in touch and let us know how things go. In the meantime, if you lose your apartment, then go to a women's shelter. You might tell your landlord that he will have to go to court to evict you. (Tell him you are working on getting the money, and it may take a few days. Sounds like a Scrooge, that he wants you out by Christmas!) Don't go until you have a place to go and a way to take your things with you.

We will keep you in our prayers.

Hugs,
Pat

Tara,,

You might also check with the local Catholic diocese. Here in South Dakota, we have something called the "Mother Teresa Fund". It's whole purpose is to help pregnant women when they have financial crisis. I don't know, but your local diocses might have something like that, too. (I'm not Catholic and the diocese here in South Dakota supports women whether they're Catholic or not.)
