You will need : A wire trace with 2 sets of treble hooks (to attach the dead bait) the wire trace should be 15ib + and then attached to the wiretrace should be 20ib+ line (depending on how big the fish are in the water you might need more) and then attached to the line should be a unweighted BIG float (i like to use a a 30centimeter balsa float) i like to make sure the float is uncocked when fishing, so when i get a bite the float cocks itself and then goes under if it is a really bite, i should also note that unless you are a experienced pike fishman you should use a strong rod, like a pike rod or a carp rod, as these tend to be strong rods. Make sure you have all the other nessarys like, 36+landing net, unhooking mat, pliers (to take the hooks out with) and possibly a wire glove.
